About us / Mō mātou

CCS Disability Action is a nationwide organisation that provides support and advocacy for people with a disability. At the heart of our vision is a society where all people are included in the life of their community and family.

Here in the Northern Region we have offices in Royal Oak, Auckland and Whangarei. Our reach extends much further though, with our team supporting people from Karaka in the South all the way through to Cape Reinga in the North.

This means we cover an incredibly varied range of urban and rural communities, each with diverse opportunities and challenges for people who experience disability.

Our approach centres on forging strong relations with the people we support. We work in partnership with disabled people and their family and whānau, walking alongside you to create individually tailored supports that meet your needs and wishes. This approach is focused on giving you real and meaningful choices as well as control in your life.

We also work in communities to identify and remove barriers so that all people can lead positive and connected lives. On a wider level we also advocate for local and national policies that ensure all people’s rights are upheld.

If you're excited by our vision for a New Zealand that 'Includes all People' discover how you can work with us to realise this goal on our 'How you can support us' section.
