Hours: Permanent, Minimum Guaranteed Hours of 30 per week

Job specific information:

CCS Disability Action is looking for a team to support a person to live his best life, from his own home.

The initial hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 3.30pm daily.

Weekend support be required once the service is up and running and this will likely be once every 2 to 3 weeks on a Saturday and Sunday, from 7.30am to 3.30pm.

Weekend wake overs on a Friday and Saturday night every 2nd or 3rd weekend will follow.

  • Love working with others to support them to achieve their goals and aspirations
  • Have great problem solving skills and can think outside the square
  • Have good knowledge and understanding of the disability sector
  • Are patient and have good empathy for others
  • Hold strong connections and networks within the community
  • Have excellent communication skills and knowledge of augmentative communication
  • Have experience in reporting accountability.
  • Willing to use your diverse background and identity to expand how we support people in a team environment.
  • Can work independently
  • Have experience in reporting accountability
  • Are enthusiastic, keen and have lots of interests
  • Can work weekends when required, and are available for sleepovers/wake overs
  • Experience with working with people on the Autistic Spectrum an advantage
  • Have experience with providing Personal Cares
