Kim Willetts - National Board President, resigns.
CCS Disability Action Board President, Kim Willetts resigned last week due to health and personal cirumstances. Kim is recognised for her tireless commitment to disabled people, their families and whanau in New Zealand. Kim’s leadership, energy, innovation and hard work ensured that disabled people enjoyed greater opportunities in their lives and that CCS Disability Action has grown and flourished.
Kim has been National Board President since November 2011 and a Board member since August 2005, representing the Southern Region. She has set the bar high for standards of service and leadership. She has helped the Board and the organisation to fulfil their mandate to provide support and to strengthen communities, so that people with disabilities are included in the life of their family and community. Kim worked passionately, tirelessly and with wholehearted commitment to her role as National President and shall be missed dearly.
CCS Disability Action National Board will be meeting this week to begin the process of electing a new President to ensure continuation of business as usual.
