Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Work from home 4 days per week and work from the Whangārei office 1 day per week.

Job specific information

We are looking for a Community Support Coordinator to support whānau in the mid-north.

The Community Support Coordinator has responsibility for the coordination and delivery of quality support services for people with disabilities and their families/whānau.

This role supports families across the Northland region. The ability to be flexible and combine both the ability to work from home, office, and in the community is a must.

Successful person will be supported with a car, phone and laptop for work purposes, as well as home office resources as required.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience of working together effectively with disabled people and their families to achieve agreed outcomes.

  • Have excellent skills in developing and maintaining trusting and accountable relationships with staff.

  • Have good community networks.

  • Have experience in the disability sector.

  • Understanding of the disability sector and ability to relate to disabled people in a positive affirming manner.

  • You have an understanding of and are committed to the rights of disabled people.
