Introducing Krissy, our new librarian

Krissy has worked at CCS Disability Action for five years and you may be familiar with her as a former service coordinator in the Otago branch. She has also held an administrative IT role, supporting CCS Disability Action staff.

Prior to joining CCS Disability Action, Krissy managed the research library at the Donald Beasley Institute for nearly 20 years and she has worked for the Otago NASC as a needs assessor/coordinator. However, Krissy considers her most important role to be a mother to all of her children and especially her son Joel, a young man with a learning disability who has been Krissy’s greatest educator. She brings a diverse range of knowledge and lived experience relating to disability and disability related issues.

Krissy is excited about her new role as librarian for CCS Disability Action's national library and is looking forward to sharing the excellent resources and information, and ensuring they are accessible for everyone.

You can visit the library at our Otago branch (30 Portsmouth Drive, Dunedin), or borrow resources free of charge from anywhere in the country through the website.
